Things you will need:
-Virtualbox
-GParted ISO
-Remix OS ISO

First download the ISOs and install Virtualbox, if you haven't installed it yet.
After extracting the Remix OS zip file you will see these files:

You don't need to care about anything else than the ISO.

Open Virtualbox and Create a new VM with these settings:

You can name it whatever you want.
Give it at least 2048 MB of RAM and create a new hard drive. The size really depends on your needs, but you need to make it at least 8 GB big.
After creating VM go into settings. Enable EFI and 3D Acceleration and give it as much Video Memory as possible. Mount the GParted ISO and start the system. On screen with boot options, just select first option.  Then you should see this:

Select don't touch keymap, then select your language. After that just press enter to start GUI mode. GParted will start automatically.
Click on Device and Create a Partition Table. After that create a new partition with ext4 filesystem. Only one partition is needed, so allocate whole available space to it.

Click on Add and Apply the changes. After it's finished shutdown the VM and go back to settings. Disable EFI, unmount the Gparted ISO and mount the Remix OS ISO instead. Click on start. You will be presented with this:

Press Tab and at the end give a space and type (case sensitive!)
Code:
INSTALL=1
You should get something similar to that:

Press enter.
Select the partition that you made and choose "Do not format"
Now you will get a few questions.
"Do you want to install boot loader GRUB?" Select YES
"Do you want to install EFI boot loader GRUB2?" Select SKIP
"Do you want to install /system directory as read-write?" Select YES
Now it's installing Android. It will say "Expect to write (something) KB". Just wait.
When you will get to this part:
select Run Android-x86 and press enter.

At this point:

you will have to wait 5-10 minutes. The system is booting up for the first time.
After booting up, you may notice that the mouse doesn't want to work. Go to Input and uncheck the Mouse Integration.

[Image: D7ANlmp.png] Choice is pretty obvious here I guess.
If you don't see your native language, don't worry, there are more languages available in settings
On user agreement, if you are like 99.9 % of the people, just click next.
You will be presented with this screen:

Congratulations! The system is ready to start.
Unfortunately, Google Services and Google Play aren't coming preinstalled with the system. To install them go to Remix Central (you have the shortcut on the desktop). Scroll down until you see:

Download and open it. From there you can install Google Play Services and Play Store. Now you can enjoy your Android apps on your PC  Smile
