How would this be configured? Ive researched and i cant find anything

bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVa =
what are you try to do or establish
One of my friends showed me how some pc game he was playing would crash and then he showed me how he used bcdedit /set increaseuserva 3072 and how he hasnt had a problem after of the game crashing so im just curious as to how its configured, from ive found so far you can use 2048 and 3072 then i seen settings of 2500 and 4096 so im confused as to what the settings could be and how to get the value
This setting is for 32 bit systems only.

Windows partitions by default will have 4GB available of address space on a 32 bit system, the kernel gets 2GB and the programs get 2GB each. (virtual memory settings)

So after changes:
  • bcedit /set IncreaseUserVA 3072 command changes the partitioning size.
  • Each program gets 3GB and kernel space only gets 1GB.
Whats the downfall?

like all tweaks, the system can become very unstable and should be left alone.
Oh okay thank you britec. We can close the thread Smile
