Recently ran out of the battery, while charging, the charger gets very hot, is that normal?
Mine gets warm. Not "very hot"
mine gets somewhat hot. Not 'touch me and you die' hot tho
it should get warm if its getting hot well probably going bad

I would test voltage coming from the wall outlet & test the voltage coming from the charger
Is it a original adapter or a clone
it is original

if you have a multimeter you can test it

thanks for the reply Compton but i don't have multimeter

when battery started to get full, charger is not hot anymore
Ok, when charging laptop battery, power off laptop, check to see if the laptop Charger is still getting hot what could be happening when you use the laptop at the sometime the battery is charging the laptop adapter have to use a bit more power causing it to become hot what the model number of the adopter?

did you patch it up ?
If it is the original adapter that is rated for your laptop I would not be concerned that the charger brick gets a bit hot. However, I would go to the Toshiba website and check to make sure there is no recall on your model charger just in case.
