I've just bought the above card reader.
The USB 3.0 port works but that's it.
I have the latest USB 3.0 driver
My mobo is an ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0
It doesn't come with a USB 3.0 header so have fitted a PCI card.
All the USB 3.0's conected to that PCI card work fine.
I contacted the boy I bought it off, he assured me it was spot on before he sold it to me.
Any help please.
I would check the UEFI settings on the board, if that doesn't work update the BIOS. Let us know what happened.
it could be a driver problem or card reader
boot up Linux to see if it will work.
if it don't work in Linux its the card reader

How do you boot up Linux?
Do I use a mini boot disk, a recovery disk?
I will probably do a tutorial some time
download Linux Lite Iso
https://www.linuxliteos.com/download.html 64b or 32bit
write the Linux Lite Iso too a flash drive using rufus
https://rufus.akeo.ie/
then boot up from the flash drive
then select start Linux
you will boot into Linux Desktop were you can test the card reader
maybe USB 3.0 doesn't support USB flash drive bootable
try USB 2.0

Hi it only has a USB 3.0 connector. The guy I bought it off said it worked fine for him.
I said to him it wasn't working, he said you must get the latest USB 3 driver for your mobo
I believe I have, still it's not working.
So not sure.
