I bought a 2.5" SATA USB 2.0 Hard Disk Drive HD HDD CASE Enclosure Case Red New  AP and after I installed my hard drive into the enclosure then plugged it into the computer , my computer makes the noise that it reads the HD but when I click on explorer so I can copy files to it the HD is no where to be found which is very odd because device manager shows the HD ?

Just try plugging it directly to each of the USB ports that are available. If you connect the hard drive to a port in a USB hub, it probably won't work and so if that's your current setup, avoid it

If it still does not work, please upload a screenshot with the device manager displaying the new hard drive

I figured it out, I just needed to format the HD. Thank you for your help problem solved.
