i successfully dual booted windows 10 to my windows 7........thank you so much, Britec................now that i am happy with Windows 10, i wish to remove the windows 7 partition, and make use of the new space....however, my research on the web indicates several ways to do this...so i would appreciate you making a video, showing the correct method.....................thanking you in anticipation

You just delete windows 7 partition while in Windows 10, but I try and make video soon

thank you Britec........i think the tricky part is because my windows 7 partition is to the left of my windows 10 partition
I would try using your windows disk. Go about it like your going to do a install and choose custom install and delete all the partitions that way. Not the windows 10 partition. You should change the boot order first.

i believe there is an option to drag the allocated partition to the right of my c partition[

You can go into windows 10 and delete the partition. But if you use a disk you can delete all the partition at once. System reserve, and the recovery. Ok if you don't want to do it my way, Do what Brian said delete it while you are booted up in windows 10. Then just expand the C partition.

i finally took the plunge....i used AOMEI Partition Assistant Standard Edition 6.0, and merged the 2 partitions..........had a nervous 25 minutes whilst my c partition was moved 4 kbs at a time...............everything well now....thanks for all your help
