Full Version: Dual boot W7 to w10

i have a win7 home dual booted with  xp home [yes, i know, unplugged from cable when in use]. xp is on its own HDD. what i'd like to know is the best way to free upgrade the win 7 to 10.  can i just un-power the xp drive? but what about hirens dual boot?

had been,, have the upgrade offer blocked for now.
Yes you would need to upgrade 7 to 10 and then dual boot XP with 10

right; should i leave the xp drive powered or unpowered? i assume the upgrade will replace hirens bcd? and i'd have to reinstall hirens after all the 10 updates are done? and thanks a lot for all the assistance
Leave it unplugged and you will need to use easyBCD to rebuilt or what ever tool you use.
You may install special software as i know Acronis and before boot choose version of Win for loading.
