So i was signing up for an uplay account and it asked for my email. So when i pressed Shift+2 to get @ it doesn't instead it comes up as " and when i try to do Shift+' to get " instead i get @. Basically two keys on my keyboard have swapped around. How to fix this?
This problem is because your language or keyboard settings are set to en-US instead of en-GB. What version of windows are you using? Alternatively, just check out the all language/keyboard options in control panel.

I've in Australia and my keyboard has been fine for three years so I don't know how it can automatically change to US. I am using win10
This video should be a good reference:

Vincent's advice should fix it and as far as the keyboard layout automatically changing to US, is concerned, it could be because of malware. Please run a full system scan with a second opinion scanner like Zemana or Hitman pro

https://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro for HitmanPro
https://www.zemana.com/AntiMalwareFree   for Zemana Antimalware Free

If you choose to use Zemana, use the deep scan. It will be more thorough

I don't think it is malware because the last thing I downloaded was Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon from steam but I'll take your advice anyway.

Thanks for your video I fixed it. Somehow the UK keyboard was added to my keyboard list.
