HI Guys hope you can help me as im at my wits end .Im running kodi 15.2 on an Imac  and chrome cast in a samsung 46 inch tv , Im trying to mirror a movie from my imac screen to the chrome cast which takes the movie just fine BUT there is no sound .If i come out of kodi and and stream from the imac to tv everything works well including the sound??? . Hope you can help me please thanks for taking the time to read this all the best .London_boy

Thanks for your reply tried that no luck all i can get is Audio output device ////Default built in device .?? cant scroll to see my tv any ideas .Thanks for your help

Try this:

Exit Kodi
Open Chrome
Type: file:///[insert drive letter here]:/ (Not sure what mac equivalent is)
Browse to your video and click on it
Chromecast your tab to your chromecast.
