Hello everyone,
happy new to you all hoping 2016 is safe and healthy for everyone. My question is are there any intelligent imaging software that can clone a say 1TB drive to a 2 TB drive keeping the partitions relative.
For example if you image a 1TB to a 2 TB drive the software just clones it over and leaves you with 1 TB unallocated which is unhelpful. I hope I explained this well enough I thought some software was able to do this.

I think Acronis has this option in their 2016 version. I think I remember seeing it under the additional tools option.

the word I should have used was proportional and Acronis states it can do this, I'm I right if this option is ticked will the clone to a larger drive take advantage of the extra space automatically ?
This would be a great time saver but I'm not sure what I want is possible

Hi Compton,
I used a boot cd with Liveboot from Wondershare it is an older utility boot cd with some handy fixes one is clone entire disk
but I now remember Acronis does what I need it is what I call intelligent clone software why would I not want to use the entire disk when I clone to a bigger disk ?
I'm sure there could be reasons but I want to use the whole drive and this proportional option is just what I need save me time

your correct I had forgot about this option and just remembered and posted the proportional option
saves a extra job after cloning
