May i ask you a question about a problem i have today with my PC? I have upgraded to Win 10 from Win 7 a few days ago and today my PC keeps rebooting showing a message that i have to insert a recovery USB drive. Unfortunately i do not have any recovery USB drive . Can i make one using my laptop (win 10 as well) and then use it to recover my PC or doing that i might lose all my PC files??? Thanks in advance!
is it a desktop or a laptop what the model of the computer?

can you take a screen shot of the error

is a desktop computer. I cant take a screen shot because it does not let me in ... the only way is to take a photo with my phone camera and attach it here if it is necessary ..

this is what the message says: the boot configuration Data for your PC is missing Or contains errors.
File:/Boot/BCD
Error code: 0xc000014c
option 1

do have any important data on the system

if you don,t have any important

I think doing a clean install of windows 10 would be best

you can use your windows 7 key to activate windows 10

Now you can activate Windows 10 with your Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 product key

option 2

Perform Automatic Repair

Rebuild BCD from Command Prompt.

BOOTREC /FIXMBR

BOOTREC /FIXBOOT

BOOTREC /REBUILDBCD

Rebuild BCD from Command Prompt.
