Hi all i have a gateway laptop that i set up with a dual boot of windows 7 and vista which has been working ok i burnt a windows 10 iso and did a clean install (thanks to these forums i no i did the wrong thing!) of w10 on the vista partition could not actavate it but was able to check that all my programs and peripherals worked.
i now want to clean up the system and end up with two partitions w10 and recovery
My question is as the system now uses the w10 boot loader to boot from if i boot to w7 and then use the w10 iso to do a upgrade will it make a new boot loader?
Also when would you delete the old unwanted w10 partition before or after performing the upgrade?
Many thanks to all the contributors to these forums
C: is the w10 that i want to remove
D: is the old vista recovery (factory) partition
E: is my current w7 that i want to upgrade
Many thanks
