I haven't been able to power the computer on to get specs or anything like that but since it wont power on im wondering if it has something to do with the power supply or the button to turn it on or off,i believe i have the power supply figured out but the power button.....i haven't had to deal with one is there away to check to make sure all is plugged in and properly seated?
it could be
  • power supply
  • power button on the case
  • power header on the motherboard

start with replacing the power supply   EVGA 500 B1 80+ BRONZE, 500W

if it's not your power supply you can always keep it for testing
You can try jumping the two pins that the power button connects to with a small flat head screw driver.

I reseated the piece timster showed in the picture above blugged it in and nothing.the power supply on the other hand im not sure if i have one that supports how many pins the motherboard needs to support a strong enough voltage to power up the computer so can someone show me the power supply connectors that connect to the motherboard? I hope this makes since
Think Tim was asking you to short the power switch pin with a screwdriver to see if it boots.

Basic Troubleshooting
May i ask what the reasoning in shortening the power pin would do?

When i have the computer plugged in the green power light on the power. Supply turns on idk if that means anything or not though
the reason why you are shortening the pin is so that you can by pass the power switch on the pc

did you swap out the power supply with a 100% working power supply
