Hi Guys,

I was happy to upgrade to Win10 and I found it cool until I found out I lost the ability to use the scanning part of my combined printer/copier/scanner. Older model printer which works fine as a printer. My solution was to do a dual boot giving me an option to boot to Win7 and my scanner works fine, now I have found another problem, my external hard drive that was working before I went to Win10, (still does in Win10) is not seen in my Win7 O/S. Really frustrating as when I have to boot to Win7 for scanning I tend to leave Win7 on all night, all my music is on my external drive Aaaarrgghh.

Shows up in Device Manager

Any thoughts, much appreciated.
did you try Uninstalling driver in device manager
30 years working for IBM you would have thought I would have done that automatically, I was hardware not software, It worked first time after uninstalling driver, then unplugging/plugging usb3 external hard drive. Many thanks @Compton. Will try a little harder next time. :-)
glad you get it working
