- Make sure you have all you're data backed up.
- Make a Backup Image or Clone of the drive in case something goes wrong.
- Install Windows 10 by Upgrade first and Windows should be activated.

Frankly speaking, if you have the option to do a clean install (like backup all your data and make sure you have all the media to reinstall your existing programs then do a clean install of windows 10.
Upgrading programs is one thing and upgrading operating systems is another.
One good practice though to add to BRITEC is to remove any anti-virus before you perform the upgrade, this way it does not get in the way of updating registry or copying files.
I realize you may have already done the upgrade but this is to help others in the future that may run into the same scenario.
