Hello I am Joshua.


I have just updated my Windows 7 Toshiba laptop to Windows 10. After it was installed I have gotten the error message: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (athwb.sys). I have watched videos on how to fix it but because I cannot login I do not see how I can do it. Please help me I can provide more info iff needed.

Boot into safe mode.
Uninstall the network card driver that is causing the issue.
Wireless Adapter Qualcomm Altheros I think.

Will I need to install anything new?

No, the default one should reinstall again. Let us know how you go

Unfortunately hasn't worked. Any other ideas?

ok try this

• Click Start, type Device Manager, and press Enter.
• network adapter
• select your wireless adapter uninstall
• restart your system
