Re-Install
#1
Hey Gentlemen, I want to completely wipe the hard drive on my Toshiba Satellite laptop, Can I copy the recovery partition to a usb or dvd before the wipe, and reinstall, if so how is the best way, I looked at the tutorials but just could not find the topic I wanted. It is a factory installed windows 7 home premium 64 bit
I would like to reinstall without all the Toshiba ads and crap, I will get the important drivers, just want to know if I can do it from a recovery partition and if so, how? Or should I just install a 7 home premium install with my product key, if I can find it?

If you use your recovery partition that will just restore to the day you purchased the computer along with all of the unwanted junk that was installed on it. If you have the product key then the best way would be to install using a Windows disk as you mentioned.
