.Net framework generic trust issue
#1
Tongue
Hi folks,
I'm looking for some help and guidance as I've exhausted all possible solutions. I've looked thru google and have tried all of the solutions posted out there. However, when I try to install .net framework, I still get the (0x800B010B), "Generic trust failure. " error.
I tried local administrator, changing the registry key (per the many solutions offered on google), running rootsupd.exe, and all of the solutions google could throw at me..without any success. The last solution would be to just take a hammer and put it to rest. Big Grin
Tried all solutions on these threads below and other solutions within that thread.

If you were like me at some point; how were you able to resolve this issue? I am at a loss... Thanks for the feedback and help. Will re-installing Windows 7 even work?

Hi GuiltySpark,
Yes, tried that as well. I tried all of the solutions I found dating back from 2012 thru 2014 that I googled. I uninstalled .Net framework following a video tutorial from Britech on youtube, still get the same error. I extrated via cmd prompt, reset some dlls via command prompt, turned off Antivirus, created a new local administrator, clicked on properties on "setup" to install the digital signature...I think I tried them all.

That's why I'm so bummed..what the heck am I doing wrong.
Thanks for responding.

I know you don't like to admit defeat, but there comes a time when you have to, how long have you been trying to fix it? if you have tried everything possible...then its time to wipe and start a fresh.
