I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop which is about ten years old. I did a clean install of Windows 10 v2004 64-bit on it. I only use this old laptop for Internet searches, watching YouTube videos, and reading emails. It has an AMD Turion 64 X2 1.6 GHz CPU and 3 GBs of memory. I installed a PNY 120GB SSD drive in it. This old laptop actually runs quite well for the things I use it for. The only program I have installed is Firefox.
My issue is that the patch Tuesday, 11-10-20, Cumulative Update for Windows 10 version 20H2 for x64-based Systems, KB4586781, fails to install with error 0x80071a91. KB4586864 also fails with the same error. I have attempted the updates several times over the past few days and they fail each time. I even downloaded the updates from Microsoft's catalog site and tried to install them, both failed. Every other update had downloaded and installed fine until now. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
