How much ram can a Dell Optiplex 7020 Mini tower have?

I have a Dell Optiplex 7020 Mini Tower and according to the manual it can handle 16gb max but my cpu (Intel i5 4th gen) can handle 32gb. I have been able to use 32gb of ram in the 7020 but am I okay to continue using 32gb of ram.

(Note: Kingston: Memory says 16gb max
Crucial memory: says 32gb max
Dell:16gb max


Processor: 4th Generation i5 4590
Operating system: Windows 10 Pro 64bit
