Hi Bri,
I returned it to the vendor, who forwarded the laptop, to their service engineer.
4 weeks later, said 'nothing wrong'....
Next step, I will take it to an authorised Lenovo service centre...here in Thailand..

Looking at the images you posted at the start of the post suggest.
- Graphic Driver issue
- Issue with the GPU which is your graphics card
What your seeing on the screen is what we call artifacting, this is normally due to overheating, bad GPU, bad video cables, loose connection, monitor, bad thermals on the GPU, driver issue.
You need to RMA that laptop and show them it happening. The laptop is doing that at 1920x1080p and your not even gaming.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT TAKE IT TO REPAIR SHOP YOU WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY IF OPENED, RMA TO RETAILER WHERE YOU GOT IT FROM
Here are some examples of artifacting which are the same or similar as yours:

Thanks so much Bri for your advice..
Really appreciate your help....
I had a Dell N5010 for 7 years, that was working for 15 hours a day, never any problem...
PS .. I ran Furmark today for a small test, it scored 609 on 1920x1080, then I tried to run at a lower resolution, and it crashed, Test only lasted 2-3 minutes..
Regards
Mike

Update:
I returned the laptop to the vendor, who instructed me to take it to the Lenovo Service Centre..
I took it to LSC, Showed the images and video, Immediately they brought in their engineer..
He said as Brian stated "Graphic Card"..
They already ordered a new motherboard ,as they are unable to repair or replace GPU'S,it could be tomorrow, or IF Bangkok dont have it, they will have to order from overseas..
Hopefully a solution is on the horizon...
