Pc Freezing while Streaming

Got a question. I have a Asus P1-P5945GC PC which i upgraded to Win 7 Ultimate. Everything was working fine but one day when i was watching football it got stuck and i tried everything to end the programme but could not and had to shut down the pc. When turning on everything is fine and again while watching football it got stuck again and had to repeat the same process. But this time it asked me to put the operating CD which i did and formatted again. And since than i have been formatting it several times.

The only issue with it is whenever i watch football or any serials it gets stuck and after turning it on it normally asks to boot with operating cd.

1. You have a entry in your hosts file, validation.sls.microsoft.com (This is a safe and genuine URL owned by Microsoft) Its in hosts file to block validation, which means you have a Microsoft product which is not genuine.


2. You will need to get a genuine copy of any Microsoft software that is installed on that computer (This includes your Operating System) 

3. Only buy from trusted retailers. (You may not of known at the time of purchase that its not a genuine copy of Microsoft Software)

4. A pirated operating system download or bought from a non trust worthy source can be packed with all sorts: rootkit, backdoor, trojan and many other nasty files, its more than likely the system files have been altered.

So all this freeze in the system is due to the operating system not being genuine? If i buy a genuine copy of operating system will this freeze in the system stop? Please advise.

Personally I would have thought the OS is genuine otherwise you wouldn't have been able to install MSE (microsoft security essentials), just a thought.

validation.sls.microsoft.com in hosts file suggests its blocking Microsoft from checking the Microsoft software on that machine, to see if its a valid copy, which suggests to me, that's its more than likely pirated.


Bihit are you using pirated software?

As a complete novice when it comes to computers could you not at least check by right clicking on Computer>Properties. At the bottom right-hand side it should say 'Genuine'. If it has been blocked from checking so there is no 'Genuine' certificate well....
