Missing programs in Add/Remove
#1
A few days ago I saw malwarebytes popup saying that it has blocked a malicious ip address from svhost.exe.
I followed the steps here:  https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/123051-successfully-blocked-access-to-a-potentially-malicious-website-3113351245-svchostexe/

Then I restarted my computer, and now when I go to my Add/Remove programs, I barely have any programs anymore.  For example; CCleaner, league of legends, malwarebytes doesn't show up on the Add/Remove programs list.

Then I remembered one of your videos awhile back
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RC_5eb9wTfk
On how to repair install without reformatting.

I followed the instructions, then I didn't have the "upgrade" function as the same user here from the comments section:

And another thing, When i click on the windows dvd, all i see are my hard drive letters to choose on wich partition i want to install windows. I don't get that ''install'' windows like yours. So i don't get the upgrade window. All i get is the windows to choose partion 'C, D or E to make a fresh install of windows. I tried this in the past a couple of times too and i never got the upgrade windows.

+Britec09 Doesn't matter. I'll try if someone knows the answer somewhere else."

Having seen he didn't post a thread in the forum.  I decided to upgrade my Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 ultimate in hopes to solve the problem.  After the upgrade, my problem still wasn't fixed and I've wasted some money.

Now I've given up solving it myself and turn to you.

Hi everyday44,

Can you boot into Safemode?

If so is the issue the same or can you see the missing programs?

everyday44 Welcome to the forum.

I never said I would post on forum? how would I know what computer issue your having without you posting?

I said "post on my forum for help and support."

You said "Doesn't matter. I'll try if someone knows the answer somewhere else." "Having seen he didn't post a thread in the forum."

People ask for help and support on forums and I or someone else will try and help them. its no good posting a reply like you did, makes you sound like you are angry at me and I should drop everything I am doing in the real world to help you for free. Do I not do enough for people?

You have got to understand, people give up there free time to help others and these people are not obligated to help anyone if they do not wish to.

I am sure if you ask people nicely, in the correct way, you will get help on your computer problem. This does not mean we can resolve your issue with your computer, but we will try our best to help.

Please change title of post to something related to your issue...not Title: Need help! now if someone has same issue as you a month from now and search forum, they will not find this post with a Title like Need help!

I'm afraid we are not mind readers.

Is the computer working but all you are missing are programs from the 'program and features' list?

Sorry that's not how I mean't to post it. Nor was the post on the youtube comment section mine. I was simply just quoting that person. My apologizes for sounding so needy. Anyhow, my computer is fine other than that. I'll try booting in safemode now and see if there are missing programs there as well.

Its OK, sometimes posting on forums can make it sound like your being rude, when your really not.

I will say one thing, asking for support for same problem on another forum is not good, because its wastes mine and other peoples time.
I know you want to get your problem solved, but I already see your committed to the forum for support. Missing programs in Add/Remove

Its a complete waste of mine time and others on this forum. So I will let the other forum help you first, because I can see you have submitted scan results.

Its a real shame you did not commit to this post in the same way.

Rule 2 states no posting on more than one forum at a time with the same problem.

I am sorry but rules are in place to protect people moderate these forums and prevent time wasters.
