WIFI red cross after sys key removal

Hi, I have done a few sys key removals as Britec09 instructions with PASSCAPE and it has worked every time, however every time I have done it the WIFI has never worked again until reinstalling the operating system, its not a problem onPCs as most are on ethernet, but laptops it a major problem, I have removed and reinstalled drivers, done network repair tools etc and done SFC /scannow but cannot get it working, it is always after a scam phone call, is it PASSCAPE that causes this or something done by the scammer? Has anyone else noticed this? Does anyone have a fix?

Just a quick update, I have put syskey on my own PC with a wifi dongle in and booted up, entered the password and it all works fine, i then removed syskey and it still worked, i then put syskey back and removed it with pass cape and BAM no WIFI, the only way I can think to fix this is use pass cape to crack the password and then remove it from within windows. Hope this helps someone.
