I think I have the files in the USB but when I try opening them Windows explorer crashes and i have to open Task Manager to restart Win Explorer

I already have the data stored in my computer but the problem is with the USB flash drive

USB memory sticks are cheap. Might not be worth the hassle. Just buy another one.

Yes but the problem is it is write protected and I can't take it off
