Hi,
Can it be read from safe mode?

What windows versions are you running?

Can you boot into a live DVD and copy the files to another USB?

Any Linux Live disk should work.

Use one of these tools to vaccine your USB Pen and stop it running, then Remove Virus from USB

Panda USB Vaccine
Panda USB Vaccine is a free utility from Panda Research which helps prevent malware infections due to the autorun feature of Windows Operating Systems.

USB immunizer
The USB immunizer is BitDefender's response to this growing issue. This small utility is divided in two sections.

The Immunize option allows you to immunize your USB storage device or SD card against infections with autorun-based malware. Even if your storage device has been plugged into an infected computer, the piece of malware will be unable to create its autorun.inf file, thus annihilating any chance of auto-launching itself.

I tried the USB immunizer but it didn't work it said "Could not immunize drive. Please check the log for more information about this problem."

The disk is write protected which means I can look at the files but some are corrupted and also I cant erase anything from the flash drive.
I'm running Windows 7 Pro SP1
I haven't tried running into a live disk yet

format it?

Removing write-protection using Diskpart

With your USB drive plugged in, launch a command prompt. Do this by searching for cmd.exe in the Start menu (or Start screen in Windows 8). In Windows XP, click Start then Run, and type cmd.exe in the box.

NOTE: you may need to run Cmd.exe with administrator privileges if you see an “access is denied” message.

To do that, right-click on the shortcut and choose Run as administrator. In Windows 8, simply choose Command prompt (admin).

Now, type the following, pressing Enter after each command:

diskpart

list disk

select disk x (where x is the number of your USB flash drive – use the capacity to work out which one it is)

attributes disk clear readonly

clean

create partition primary

format fs=fat32  (you can swap fat32 for ntfs if you only need to use the drive with Windows computers)

exit

Launch safe mode and try the normal format option

If that doesn't work:

Open Start -> Run...
2. type diskmgmt.msc and press enter
3. right click on the partition you want to format (where the leter and size is)
4. select 'Delete Partition...' and confirm
5. right mose button in the same place and select 'Create partition'
6. select primary partition
6. select size, file forma, disk leter, label etc should be all right if you leave defaults.
7. click ok

It doesn't give the option to delete
